pump
T o e n s u r e t h a t t h e e q u i p m e n t i s r e a d y f o r o p e r a t i o n a t a l l t i m e s , i t m u s t
b e i n s p e c t e d s y s t e m a t i c a l l y ( a s o u t l i n e d i n S e c t i o n I I o f t h i s c h a p t e r ) b e f o re
o p e r a t i o n , d u r i n g o p e r a t i o n ,
a n d a f t e r o p e r a t i o n s o t h a t d e f e c t s m a y be
d i s c o v e r e d a n d c o r r e c t e d b e f o r e t h e y r e s u l t i n s e r i o u s d a m a g e o r f a i l u r e .
The
necessary preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) will be performed
b e f o r e o p e r a t i o n.
D e f e c t s d i s c o v e r e d d u r i n g o p e r a t i o n o f t h e u n i t w i l l be
n o t e d,
and correction made as soon as operation has ceased.
S t o p o p e r a t i on
i m m e d i a t e l y i f a d e f i c i e n c y i s n o t e d d u r i n g o p e r a t i o n w h i c h w o u l d d a m a g e t he
equipment.
A f t e r o p e r a t i o n,
the necessary PMCS will be performed.
